Prayer To The Shoulder Wound Of Jesus
Pope Eugenius III, at the earnest request of St. Bernard, has granted three thousand years Indulgence to all who with a contrite heart, recite the Lord's Prayer and Hail Mary 3 times, in honor of the Wound on the Shoulder of Our Blessed Redeemer.
O Loving Jesus, meek Lamb of God, I miserable sinner, salute and worship the most Sacred Wound of Thy Shoulder on which Thou didst bear Thy heavy Cross, which so tore Thy flesh and laid bare Thy Bones as to inflict on Thee an anguish greater than any other wound of Thy Most Blessed Body.
I adore Thee, O Jesus most sorrowful; I praise and glorify Thee, and give Thee thanks for this most sacred and painful Wound, beseeching Thee by that exceeding pain, and by the crushing burden of Thy heavy Cross to be merciful to me, a sinner, to forgive me all my mortal and venial sins, and to lead me on towards Heaven along the Way of Thy Cross.
Amen.
Prayers to Saint Rafqa
We implore you Saint Rafqa, you who walked on our soil, among our oaks and rocks, who lived among your sisters, the nuns, in your monastery.
Blessed Sister, daughter of our land and cedars, we implore you to be our guiding light and our example in bearing the sufferings with love and joy.
Saint Rafqa, our Patron, and Sister, let peace reign in our country; sanctify our monasteries and churches; grant your visitors and those who ask for your intercession the graces that they need; cure sick people with your blessed soil; comfort sad people; bless our children and young; raise our orphans; let our harvest be abundant; let our homes be full of blessings; let our work be prosperous; bless our workers; feed hungry people; accompany our emigrants to come back to their homeland; pray for dead people.
Teach us, dear sister, to pray like you did for Our Christ and Savior who made you share His sufferings and imprinted His wounds on your body adding to them the sixth wound, and who made you a messenger of faith, joy, and love.
So that we thank the Virgin Mary and glorify with you the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit, forever.
Amen.
Oh, Jesus Christ, our God and Lord, You imprinted Your image of salvation upon the life of Saint Rafqa and made her a beloved one and a loyal worker because she prayed and shared with You in the Mystery of Redemption.
We humble ourselves before You, with her prayers and a plea, so that You may bless the children, enlighten the youth, make the weariness of people an occasion of grace and goodness, give the sick and those who are suffering the grace of healing, joy, and happiness, and grant what they request to whoever prays to You in churches and monasteries.
And as You have honored Rafqa by letting her see Your Heavenly Light, allow us throughout our life to live like her in faith, hope, and love, to glorify and thank You with her, with the Blessed Mother and with all the Saints to the end of time.
Amen.
We ask you, Saint Rafqa, to spread real joy in our world which is suffering; to comfort sad people and make them happy and caring; to teach us to pray with faith in Jesus Christ and to live our life peacefully.
Medicine was incapable of curing you, so you cured sick people by supporting pain and sharing with Jesus Christ the Mystery of Redemption.
We ask you to wipe off the tears; to cure sick people; to fill people’s hearts with joy and love; to make us follow your steps and virtues in order to glorify, with you the Virgin Mary, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit forever.
Amen.
